MY LITTLE LOVE

It all begun in the late days of 2009 while after my service at the World Centre, i returned back home in Kenya where i decided to offer my time and energies for the service at home. Just to settle in, i dedicated myself to teaching and moving around the country so that i could read the reality and understand what is actually going on around my beautiful country.
 Having spent quite along time offering my service in the Holy Land more than three years, it meant that i was behind most activities that were taking place at the grassroots and i needed to catch up with this ongoing activities of the then Five Year Plan. After spending sometime moving around the country in my efforts to teaching the Faith in different a venues, I decided i should seek an abode where i would spend time concentrated. Luckily i was appointed to serve as a Regional Coordinator for activities of the Institute associated with the Study Circles, Junior Youth and the Children classes in my Region. Most of my time, well my home would then be turned to be in Kakamega.
For more than one two and a half years i spend time traversing the vast region of the Western side of our beloved country busied with what i was called upon to accomplish. By the end of the Plan and the coming of the new plan I had nurtured my other friends that would then should the responsibilities of moving the region forward since it was time to see the region move quickly and the activities multiply with a higher degree and so it meant that more and more individuals would be required to should such responsibilities.  So i continued with other activities to ensure that i too was not remaining behind in my own endeavors. 
I ventured into a small business where i offered some computer services and mobile money transfer as the demand was on rise in my town where i stayed that year 2012.
 In the early days of that year i happen to meet a small girl called Esther, she was so loving such that she spent most of her time in our workshop. She was around 3 years by then. She barely talked to anyone except me since i was able to interact with her nicely and share our thought. Most people would say that children love me. Hmmm..i would say maybe they find a good friend in me. With a sweet voice as Esther's one would never loose/ will always be attentive to listen to what she would convey. Each day her mother worked in her barber shop while her aunt worked in the Salon. Actually they always come each day everyday. Not a day passed without meeting Esther for she would come and say hi and even just spend time with me.
 One day while we were just having our daily conversation, she mentioned her cousin "Kimberly". She said " Kimberly is not very strong to walk all the way here so i have to go and see her". In her words she meant that her cousin Kimberly was crawling. Since there was a stair you were to pass whiling coming to our workshop she could barely pass there she would most of the time come and just reach that stair and with admiration gaze where Esther her cousin was heading to. Having no options she returned to her mother.

It was during such a conversation that Esther said she wanted to go bring her cousin Kimberly. Who was i? I agreed without hesitation. I told her to go and bring her, carry her with care, well just make sure she climbed the stair with cation lets she falls down and injure herself. Within few minutes i saw a wonderful, beautiful young girl. By then Kimberly was around 6 months or so. I stayed with her and she fell asleep. Huh! I was to carry her and ask if she could be put somewhere to rest. I did and i took her to their salon where i put her to rest. Each passing day they started coming to visit me and from that day as Esther was growing up our love with Kimberly grew and grew.
The first thing they did when they arrived, they headed towards our workshop and days passed and moths came. It was the time Kimberly started to walk that we even interacted more since i was to help her know how to walk. I did that with ease since she had trusted me with all her heart. During this time is when i came to know her mother. We had interacted with both Esther and Kimberly for more than 4 months when i met Kimberly mum. When time came for Esther to join baby-classes, she left me a treasure, her cousin Kimberly.
 Sometimes many of those customers who visited our shop knew from the beginning that Kimberly was my daughter even my closest friends knew that since most of the time they did find her either in my arms or in our workshop. We became so good friends that her mum would say "she calls Tom in her dream". By the end of the last year 2012 when i had my wedding one of the guests that could never be left out was Kimberly she came and she was all available to witness her friend "me" enter into wedlock. This year since i have more responsibilities we still interact on different occasions and i make it sure that i meet her so that our love and friendship is lit more and more. By the end of last year she had started saying few words that she remembers but by the time i was writing this blog she is able to say lots of words with clarity. I hope she will be able to start her formal schooling next year. I see purity of heart, honesty and good morals in her. She will be a very strong girl one who is ready to change and contribute to the betterment of the society. I love you Kimberly!!!

KNOWLEDGE!

What is knowledge? How do you understand this concept?I think you will agree with me that it's a very complex fundamental concept which will take you a century to explore.I just want to share with you some ideas that I hope will help your understanding.
"Knowledge is as wings to man's life
and a ladder for his ascent.Its
acquisition is incumbent upon every one."
From the statement above,its said that knowledge is as wings ,like that of birds without which they won't soar into the realm high.Man must needs knowledge.It does not just means studying,going to higher schools,colleges and universities that are all over the world!It means understanding the purpose.How will knowledge be wings?How will it be a ladder,to where?These are the few question that you can contemplate on as you study.
Basically,man is growing from one stage to another,from lower to higher stages.To cross this"civilisation" making progress" he needs a ladder.
How can he show this?Does it means he should go high and study diplomacy,degrees and so on................Offcourse this are neccesarry,and this you will bear me witness that it will take decades for humanity to achieve that degree of growth.Openly,knowledge is conscious process in which individuals[humanity] endowed with new understanding and new vision will work conciously to implement the basic concept,fundamental principles,conceptual foundation and teachings into new patterns of action that will produce eventual fruits.Meaningly,one has to translate the new vision into action or practice.
Seeking knowledge ;true understanding and wisdom,going to school,college and unversities its not a new matter of personal satisfaction! Its definite social purpose.One has to implement what he/she has acquired to other population.What one does wether individual intiative or public or collectvely should and has an effect to the entire population.
Knowledge can be viewed in the action or deeds of an individual.Information,facts,concepts,patterns connectionand hierarchies are all some of the raw materials of knowledge in a given process.If one has all this it means he/she has all the needs but he/she lacks one thing.Does not have a constractor.Its like you have stones.cement,wood,glass all the materials needed to build a house but you don't have a constractor.
Knowledge is only meaningful if accompanied by true understanding."God's greatest gift to man is that of intellect or understanding"Understanding is the power by which man acquire his knowledge of several kingdoms of creation and various stages of existence as well as that which is invissible.

Possesing this gift,he is himself the sum of earlier creation .He si able to get into touch with those kingdoms and by this he can frequently through the scientific knowledge reach out with prophetic vision. We can only reach this stage if we are detached from all things heavenly and earthly wether superstition ,cultural,ethical,economical,politicaland social.
"No man shall attain the shore of the ocean of true understanding except he be detached from all that is in heaven and earth.Sactify your souls o ye people of the world that happly ye may attain that station"
Young people should be motivated to persue knowledge.But motivation to persue knowledge should not be the need to fell superior to others or desire to advance oneself over others.But it should be for individual capacity building and the contribution to transforming the society.Thus when knowledge is accompanied by true understanding,it leads to wisdom which is humanity's unfailing protector and foremost teacher of the school of existence.Knowledge should change the society!
